What this tool is for
Splitting keeps only the pages you pick and leaves the rest out, giving you a new PDF with just those pages. It is what you want when one page of a statement needs sending, or when a scanner has put several separate documents into a single file.
How to split a PDF and extract pages
- Add the PDF. Its pages appear as thumbnails so you can see what is in it.
- Tap the pages you want to keep. A marked page shows a check, not just a colour.
- Save the new PDF, which holds only the pages you marked.
Questions
Does this change my original file?
No. The original is left exactly as it was. What you get back is a new PDF, and nothing is written over the file you started with.
Can I pull out a range of pages rather than tapping each one?
Yes. You can mark a run of pages instead of choosing them one at a time, which is quicker on a long document.
Do my documents leave my device?
No. The pages are read and the new file is built in this browser tab. Nothing is uploaded, so a confidential document stays on your machine.
How do I split one PDF into several separate files?
Run it once for each set of pages you want. Mark the first set and save it, then mark the next set and save that.
